I'm Tyrnan, 37 from Ireland and I've been gaming since I was old enough to figure out how to turn on an Atari 2600 (eep! that makes it about 30 years now ). Got into MMOs with City of Heroes and have tried out nearly every major release since then, but in the past few years have been quite disillusioned with how stale the genre had become. Then about 2 years ago I read the GW2 manifesto and have been driving my gaming friends mad about it ever since.
Really looking forward to this weekend and giving my top three candidates for a main a try; Mesmer, Necro and Guardian. That's if I ever actually manage to have a main. I think having about 48 characters in CoH might make me a bit of an altaholic

I've been around mmo since the beginning of the graphic ones. I own guild wars 1 and some of the expansions. I plan on planing Norm just can't decide if I want a guardian or warrior as my first char. I'm loving the way we will be able to color our characters.
I can't wait for the beta tomorrow. I still haven't decided which profession to start with, possibly ranger, thief, or engineer. I hope to see everyone in game.
hello everyone! I'm a huge fan of MMORPG'S and cannot wait to play the beta of GW2!! I plan on trying all the professions but I am leaning more towards the thief, elementalist and the mesmer!
I played Guild Wars when it came out way in 2004. I know alot of my friends and others hate gw1 and made fun of me because they didn't like the pve it didn't seem like a mmorpg to them..but the pvp drew me to this game. I've been a competitive gamer since I was born in this world. Guild Wars was my first really competitive mmorpg I took seriously cause of the skill you need compared to others. My monk was my first character then elementalist. I didn't expect to get as far as I did in pvp and meeting all types of people but it was fun times I missed with metas such as smite, iway, ranger spirit spam, ele air spike and all. I was heal or prot monk to rank 6 most of the time, basically everyday for the next 4 years I was monk, annoying but oh well, I didn't notice how time passed. Mesmer and necro I used as needed in pvp also, mesmer I enjoyed the most, tricking the minds of players in teamfights. I had the honor to play with 3 top Korean guilds nightly winning hall of heros with one of the guilds, which was fun even though my Korean was not good then, I knew when they pinged what to do as I'm very aware. I stopped playing for awhile when most of them left, which was around 2008 after I said I would quit playing if my team wins hall of heros...we actually won beating valors team surprisedly for me, holding 3 times that day lol. For now I randomly log and do title runs, farm, pug pvp or something.
I look forward to the fresh pvp that Guild Wars 2 5v5 will offer and the wvw stuff looks exciting also, which I did a bit of wow wvw when i did play that game for couple months when it came out. Since there won't be any monks my gw1 monk days are over lol, I'll probably be experimenting with mesmer, necro and ele in pvp.
I'm a friendly guy and looking for a new pvp guild to so if anyone wants to pvp together or anything let me know.

Hi..I go by the name Blackmyst.I've been playing mmog's since the first days of UO.Yes...I'm a recovering x DAOC addict(my wife still plays),.I'm interested in GW2 for it's WvW.Thats why I bought the game. I love to craft.I like ranged fighting classes(Norn Ranger was my first character).Like others I'm not firm in the first character I will develope...Ranger......Necro....Engineer....Elementalist.Haven't made a definitive choice.(RANGER if you made me choose today).Guess I'll just have to play them all in beta

Yes, I remeber pre-atari pong....though I much prefered playing Hunt the Wumpus on my TI 99 4a with tape recorder media storage! wohoo! The good old days.
I got my start in a few MUD's, though they tended to annoy me. My Colorful Sprays were far to colorless :(
I also played RPGing in MUSH's...mostly WoD MUSH's (World of Darkness...Vampire, Werewolf, ect)
I only vaguely remember playing Ultima Online (it was the same year that PC Computing magazine published a "Road Map to the Internet" which actually looked like a road map and covered much of what the internet was back then...a feat impossible to even ponder now a days)
After a long withdrawl from the world of gaming, I came back for brief stints in EQ, EQ2, WoW, AoC,RoM, and WoW again, then Aion, Rifts and, yes, off and on for the past several years with over 20 or 30 alts (not all still existing of course) GW1, all three campaings and GWEN.
Dang. That's a long history. *pushes 98pounds over a bit* Move down old timer...my legs aint what they used to be and the walkers in the shop.
OK. Other than my anti-necrotic fixation and my Sparkly love of the Elements...I'm also kind of snarky, but only ever with love :)

Tired of finding increasing amounts of poo and other less edible items in my guru sandbox, Ive dragged my old bones over to swing here for a while.
Long time gamer (yes, another pong man) Long time GW multi-gwammer, general idiot and rotten pvp'er.
Plan on making the most cantankerous, ugly, ornery lil asura thief I can, and then proceed to run around biting my foes in their fadges.
