Its been a long time since I recorded anything in Guild Wars 2 with a view to actually publishing the footage. After the NDA eventually lifted I never felt there was much value in me recording (considering everyone was). But with the addition of tournament play, I've found watching my videos back the best method of improving my play. I've regularly found myself after a match shaking my head at the number of things I did wrong. Thankfully, it can't be too much as I can't remember the last tournament match we lost!
Below are three videos from the last stress test, beginning with Foefire and Khylo with the tournament eventually ending in Niflhel. As the third video has only just uploaded it might be a few minutes until the 720p version becomes available.
I still consider Mesmers one of the most powerful professions in Guild Wars 2 and I'm always amazed to hear people actually saying they are underpowered. The build I use for Mesmer counts entirely on vigor, shattering as well as stealth and stun breaks to survive. With a default of 916 toughness, it's all about mobility and using your illusions to inundate your opponent. You can find my build here.
Be sure to let me know what you think!

That was entertaining. I wish I could play that class better. I may still make one for PvE or WvW eventually. I think I just need more quality time with it to really get into it. I love utility in a class, especially when its abilities are capable of being used creatively (portals/invisibility etc.). It looked like you had some great condition removal going, but I couldn't be certain.
Thanks for posting these - helps stave off the prelaunch shakes.
Edit: One thing I found out last stress test was that you could actually stomp people from the lower area at mid in foefire if they went down at the edge of the ledges above. I am not sure if this is an advantage or not. I never got interrupted by the other player the couple times I did it, but this is something you might want to prove out to see if it gives you LoS protection for the stomp.
Your use of LOS is superb, and your situational awareness is very good... These videos drive home a point I've expressed to numerous folks in various "class balance" debates; just because a class doesn't suit YOU, or you aren't comfortable with it, doesn't mean there isn't someone out there for whom it fits like a glove.
Personally, there are only 2 of the 8 professions that I am really not interested in playing after having tested all of them (one of which is mesmer) which mostly has to do with my dislike of their special class mechanic more than anything else... but that IS a personal preference, and I recognize that other players are able to make quite good use of those mechanics I feel uncomfortable with.
I would also just like to make mention of the excellent groups coms in these videos. Everyone expresses information concisely, and only what NEEDS to be communicated. Ego stroking "chatter" that is all too common in group coms in PvP videos is NOT the ideal. The type of coms heard in these videos are optimum. Coms should be calm... concise, and informative.
That's very kind Archer, thank you :) We've worked hard on our team chatter and keeping information concise. I also really agree with your assessment of professions and players clicking with them. I really love the Mesmer and although its nothing like my GW1 Mesmer, I really don't care. I actually prefer this variant and feel I really click with the class.
Its a shame you don't like the Mesmer as it is a wonderful profession, but I can completely understand your reasoning. For me, the thought of playing a Warrior has never once crossed my mind.
Archer,
You hit it right on in regards to how classes can be viewed so very differently by different people. I love the abilities of the mesmer, but it just hasn't clicked for me for some reason. I love both Necro and Ranger, but so far I have had much better success with Ranger in sPvP. Warrior I played early on (BWE1)and had good success as well.
