I currently have an Asura Thief and I need some input on damage.
As we all know the thief dies quickly if the enemy get in a few good hits. Therefore do the thief rely on evasive abilities and stealth to avoid being hit. I've currently worked on a build that allows me to constantly attack from stealth which gives me a 100% crit chance. I always stealth and attack the enemy from behind which also increases my damage. Do I need to work on presicion since I'm always having a 100% crit chance, or should I work on increasing my power or my critical damage? Do my power have a direct affect on my critical damage, or should I just ignore it and craft signets and runes that increase my critical damage?

If you attack from stealth, there's a short duration afterwards when you can't stealth(A couple of seconds), so try not to rely solely on stealth. As far as damage goes, I'm not really sure, but if you get 100% crit chance often, I don't really see why you would otherwise need that high crit chance.
Going by that I'd say power + crit damage is the way to go for you, but try not to go completely glass cannon. Usually having at least 14k - 15k health is a good idea, and it doesn't really take that much to get it there. Less that that and you'll have a hard time surviving against CC even with stealth, evades and stunbreaks.
Are you a guardian? Let me introduce you to my Flesh Golem, he's getting a bit hungry.
